Cars on 5th Is Moving to Bayshore

Cars on 5th Is Moving to Bayshore

For more than two decades, Cars on 5th has been one of Naples' signature events, drawing thousands of visitors to Fifth Avenue South each year while raising millions of dollars for local charities.

Now, that tradition is changing.

Beginning in 2027, Cars on 5th will be held in the Bayshore Arts District, marking one of the biggest event relocations Naples has seen in years.

Why the Move?

Organizers have cited the need for additional space and room for the event to continue growing. As Cars on 5th has become one of the country's premier automotive showcases, accommodating exhibitors, attendees, and logistics on Fifth Avenue has become increasingly challenging.

The Bayshore Arts District offers a larger footprint while giving attendees the opportunity to experience one of Naples' fastest-growing neighborhoods.

A Controversial Decision

Not everyone is celebrating the move.

Many longtime Naples residents believe Cars on 5th and Fifth Avenue South are inseparable. The combination of exotic cars, luxury storefronts, and downtown Naples has become part of the event's identity.

Others see the relocation as an exciting opportunity. Bayshore has undergone significant redevelopment over the past several years, with new restaurants, breweries, galleries, and businesses transforming the district into a destination of its own. Hosting one of Naples' largest annual events could introduce thousands of first-time visitors to the area.

What This Means for Naples

Whether you agree with the decision or not, it's another reminder that Naples continues to evolve.

Major community events often influence where people spend their time, where businesses invest, and which neighborhoods receive increased attention. While Fifth Avenue will always remain one of Naples' most iconic destinations, Bayshore's continued growth makes it an interesting choice for the future of the event.

My Thoughts

Cars on 5th has always been about more than incredible automobiles—it's about bringing the Naples community together while supporting important local charities.

Although it will certainly feel different without Fifth Avenue as the backdrop, I'm excited to see how the event evolves in its new home.

What do you think?

Should Cars on 5th have stayed on Fifth Avenue, or is Bayshore the right move for the future? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments or reach out directly.
